Early Education Teachers work 40 hours a week – Monday through Friday, between 6:45am - 6:30pm. Example of potential shifts 6:45am - 4:00pm or 9:30am - 6:30pm.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide care for children ages 6 weeks (about one and a half months) to four years old, such as establishing schedules and routines, grooming, feeding, and changing diapers.
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and clean environment which includes cleaning classrooms and equipment and disinfecting toys.
  • Guide children through a research-based curriculum to grow their ability to grasp new concepts, understand increasingly complex information, and prepare for the next level of care or entry into school.
  • Develop respectful and dynamic relationships with families and staff.
  • Distribute snacks following sanitation, USDA, and CCR guidelines
  • Build confidence with a special emphasis on social-emotional development, impulse control, and social skills.
  • Maintain required records relating to the Early Education Program.
  • Responsible for the safety of the children within the Texas Child Care Regulation directives.
  • Enforce safety and security standards for children and visitors.
  • Attend required staff development and team meetings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Regular sitting, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and standing. Must be able to routinely lift 10 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

What we’re looking for: 

  • Education and Experience: 
    • High School graduate or GED equivalent. Minimum age of 18 years.  
    • Related education and/or experience in childhood development  
    • Prior experience working with young children preferred
